✅ Explanation of the "antibiotic reset" concept of chlorine dioxide

1. Antibiotic resistance problem

Due to indiscriminate use of antibiotics on humans and animals, **resistant bacteria (super bacteria)** are increasing.

Bacteria that are no longer effective against existing antibiotics are emerging as a social problem.

2. Role of chlorine dioxide

Chlorine dioxide, a non-selective oxidizing disinfectant, oxidizes and destroys bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

It can also destroy resistant bacteria by oxidizing the sulfur bonds (thiol groups) of proteins and the cell membrane structure.

It oxidizes enzymes essential for DNA replication and protein synthesis to stop their function.

3. Meaning of "reset"

The concept of "resetting" the existing immune system and intestinal environment by eliminating resistant bacteria that antibiotics do not respond to.

It can be an opportunity to break away from the situation of relying on antibiotics by eliminating abnormal colonies of resistant bacteria and harmful intestinal bacteria.

* Scientific evidence (example of paper/data)

Title Summary

- The Sporicidal Activity of Chlorine Dioxide on Paenibacillus larvae (J. Apic. Res., 2021) Chlorine dioxide is effective against spore-forming bacteria with resistant bacteria

- MMS Seminar 2023 - Chlorine Dioxide in Honeybee Colonies Application of ClO₂ instead of antibiotics in experiments to remove pathogenic bacteria in honeybee colonies

- US EPA / WHO Report Chlorine dioxide has a wide range of pathogenic bacteria. It is effective against viruses, bacteria, and fungi and has low toxicity

* Utilization of chlorine dioxide in poultry farms

1. Disinfection of the breeding environment

✔ Space spray disinfection

Spray ClO₂ solution (100~200ppm) using a sprayer/sprayer before and after empty breeding or before and after breeding.

Removal of airborne pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and fungal spores.

✔ Wall/Floor Cleaning

Walls, floors, and equipment with a lot of organic matter are cleaned with high pressure and then wiped or sprayed with ClO₂ solution.

Better biofilm removal effect than general detergents.

2. Chicken drinking water (drinking water) disinfection

✔ Mix low concentration ClO₂ (1~2 ppm) in chicken drinking water

Continuously inject into water tank or water supply line with automatic injection device.

Remove biofilm in water pipes, inhibit growth of pathogenic bacteria.

Reduce stress in chickens with little change in water taste.

3. Odor removal and ammonia concentration reduction

ClO₂ is effective in reducing ammonia odor by oxidizing and decomposing H₂S, NH₃, and organic odor gases.

Regular spraying around litter and exhaust outlets can reduce odor and suppress pathogens at the same time.

4. Pathogen and virus removal effect

Pathogen chlorine dioxide effect

Salmonella cell membrane damage and DNA oxidation rapid inactivation

E. coli kills more than 99.9% even at low concentrations

Newcastle disease virus removes infectious agents from the air or surfaces

AI (avian influenza) WHO and USDA also recognize ClO₂ sterilization power

✅ Chlorine dioxide poultry farm application effect

Distinctive effect

- Disease prevention Reduce antibiotic usage by blocking pathogens

- Mortality rate reduction Reduce immune burden and increase growth rate

- Water hygiene improvement Improve intestinal health by improving water quality

- Odor reduction Improve working environment and animal welfare

- Management efficiency Reduce antibiotic and quarantine costs, increase productivity

* Actual application farm case (summary)

Domestic poultry farm A:

→ ClO₂ disinfection before planting + chlorine dioxide water injection into drinking water → Mortality rate reduced from 12% → 4%, odor complaints resolved

Japan Livestock Association Report: → When AI quarantine and drinking water management are done with ClO₂, antibiotic costs are reduced by about 30% or more
